Just saw this post today, heres the story:

PCA event at Cranbrook, in Michigan 1986
Not to many 914 attending 31 years ago.

My girlfreind (now wife) and I attended with my Red 72' 914 I converted it back from my club racer to street wide body car, sold shortly later, just after the wedding. confused24.gif
Its the red flared 914

BUT, here is the green car, and thats me in the white shirt taking a look. As i recall Rol (red shirt) had the car striped and dipped. Then all new OE Porsche parts from Stoddard, less rebuild driveline. Every nut and bolt. It was a very fresh looking 914 There may be more to the story as i cant recall the history of the car, just the restoration and that it was costly, and took a few years. I remember there was something special to him about this car, or about the car, just not what it was.
