I have a 1.7 ltr engine with problems.
The most of these problems i solved, but the engine runs to rich when im above 2000 rpm.
Please some suggestions.

Check the MPS out, does it hold a 15hg vacuum for 5 minutes?

remember to add as many details and info as you can. carbs or fi? stockish engine?

The engine is a 1.7 ltr stock with D jetronic.
I already replaced the temp. sensors and checked the feul pressure.
Checked and cleaned the injectors, controled the inlet pressure sensor and checked the ignition. Checked the inlet for leaking, checked the compresion and the valves.

geoff will probably steer you thru this one. i'm in the midst of a crash course in D-JET. interesting tho. lots of good D-JET info at www.members.rennlist.com/pbanders/ and jeff bowlsby's site.

What do you mean "controled the inlet pressure sensor"?

There are 4 things that control the fuel "mix".
1. the CHT-cylinder Head Temp sensor- test it using Brad Anders pages
2. Air temp sensor- it can effect the mix alittle
3. MPS-Manifold Pressure Sensor- The main fuel mix sensor, looks like a grenade mounted under the battery tray
4. Fuel pressure regulater- pressure should be set to 29lbs but you can adjust it upto 36 lbs tops..

Controled the inlet pressure sensor, i tested it on an other engine and it works good.

I listed the four ways to control fuel mix.
first test the CHT, then pull a vacuum with a vacuum pump on the MPS.

Next is to see if all the componets numbers match for your setup.

Check the fuel pressure too as return lines can get pinched.
