You laugh, I actually thought about taking a 914, cutting the front and rear firewalls out, making a reinforced frame, enclosing the whole lot to use as a "2 person camper" and it would double as a small enclosed trailer

Jason (SilverBullet) has been building one out of the rear trunk and engine comp. of a 914.

i don't think he has made much progress lately ...

I've been playing a little in 3d.

no mods yet, still trying to figure it out.

this is an obj file that I imported into photoshop as a new 3d layer.

Here is one i did back in '05!!! 2 years before i even got my '14... must have been my destiny...
simple philosophy, save lots of weight front and rear, then triple unsprung mass... that should help the handling.... not!!

The 914 is on hold for a while, until I finish up the 356SC. I've been replacing the tired 356 pieces with pieces from the VW drag car. Front's all set, the trans is almost in; just need to fabricate the new rear interior floor/paneling.

I kinda hope that it DOESN'T happen. but I think that we might end up campaigning the 356 at the various Nostalgia Drag Meets here in the North East for next year.
