I think this is great idea and not just because there is free food involved.
I have really enjoyed the 2 other 914 social events I have been to here in Sacramento.
I am out of town for Memorial day (will at least Thur, Fri but maybe Sat) and I am out of town last 2 weekends of June.

Actually 1 of the 3 914's I am buying runs but has a problem with 1st/Rev. I should be able to fix it with the trans in the car but I have not looked at what the issue is yet, maybe Saturday. Worst case I will have complete spare tail shift plus 1 maybe 2 spare side shifters.

Do you want us to bring anything?

Maybe something to drink. I will have soft drinks and some wine but if anyone wants a beer i can get some or they can bring there favorite. If you have a Xbox 360 you might want to bring some games. When ours was taken they took 40+ of Shanes games and all he has now is few sports, a action war game and Grand Theft Auto and I dont think you want your son playing that.

I will bring beer. Hide the GTA though please...

All right enough about my cooking skills. I did find a great place to "BUY" my food for the BB Que. Thanks for the microwave comment I will need to know how to work it to warm the food. The boiling water was an experience.

My wife said she come along but I am wondering who else would be there that has no real interest in cars? She is wonderful and tolerant but much more interested in books, writing and bicycles than cars.

The NARP thread about a BBQ and weigh-in got me thinking about borrowing a set Longacre digital scales, any flat cement to weigh a 914 or 2? Not sure if Ron would loan them to me but I could ask.

I think considering Michaels recent break in he will be releasing the address in a PM to the interested parties.

Michael does have flat cement and about a 3 deep garage... Maybe he is interested in that... Ron already did that to mine.

My wife will be there. She has no interest in anything about the cars except riding in them...

I would not post my address break-in or not.
Just kind of wondering out loud how I was going to end up in the right place.

I don't think I will have "raised the dead" by next weekend. I looked at the linkage on the 70 and it seems to be doing everything it should, so the 1st/rev problem is internal.
Probably no time this weekend to work on it.

If you are coming PM me and I will PM you my address. The only thing you need bring is your choice of beverage if you have one other than that it is covered. Time? oh 12:00 ish. First come first served on parking in the driveway.
