In theory, yes. However, you should set it as you reassemble to make sure it's right. If you had work on the heads, like flycutting, you're changing the geometry from what it was before and you need to go through the exercise or resetting it.
No, no flycutting. Just a valve job, new valves and guides. Geometry should be the same according to the guy at EMW in hawthorn. I know the pushrods must go back in the same way they came out, just wondering if the lifters must stay matched with the pushrods?
What do you mean set the geometry as I reassemble anyway? If I use all the same components, less valves; what changes the geometry? No added shims and not going 911 swivelfeet.
