Is this the right pad for this top?

The center of the pad is not notched, is it supposed to be?

I don't believe that there's any differences between the years for the targa top.

as the tops and cars did not chage at all between years I'd say yes its the one

early not notched late notched. The later ones had a reinforcement bar added.

I must have a early one.

Why was the later pads reinforced?

According to your thread, I have and early top. Possibly switched by the PO.

The car is an early prod 73, I tink actually made in late 72.

At what time did they make the switch to the different style Targa tops.?
