Any way to tell if there was anything "special" about this engine?

Original /6, most likely early '69, Engine #6193261

Found another reference that supports George's post ...

"6103001 and onwards would be a 1970 European 911T with Sportomatic Gearbox"

and

"1969 PORSCHE 911T , The original 2.0 liter engine (number 6195424)"

as the car in question is supposed to be a '69 Sportomatic ...

then it should be engine type 901/19
davep
from my early 911 database:
Type 901/13 from 6193001 to 6193297 RoW 911T Sporto

so 6193261 is very late in that production series.

I'd really like to know the third # on the engine case since I don't have a 901/13 in my database, and it is near the end of production also. See this thread:

from what I have ... unfortunately without engine numbers ...

1969

model ... engine ... tranny ... VIN

911 T ... 901/13 ... 905 ... 119110001-119111282
911 T ... 901/19 ... 905 ... 119110001-119111282 (USA)
911 E ... 901/11 ... 905 ... 119210001-119210858

but in general I've to ssay that I hardly know anything about the 911

Well, the car in question *is* a 914 Sportomatic that supposedly came with a 911T Engine from the factory, and not a 914/6 Engine ...

I guess you don't talk about #0120 - this one got a factory new 911T engine after the original 914-6 engine was blown ...

No, not Frank Pohl's 914-6 Sporto ...
