Part number: 914-641-101-50, '75-'76 combo gauge
Is the 'TEMP' part of the gauge for oil temperature, or for cylinder head temperture?
I'm guessing Oil Temp, but I'm guessing.

What is the yellow light for on the gauge? I have the same gauge and want to install it in my car. Is the wiring for the oil temp gauge present?

i don't think it's an EGR light. the EGR light was a small red light on the frame that holds the gauges, not in any gauge. the "yellow" light was for sportomatic equipped cars to the best of my knowledge.

Oh yeah, that's where the EGR light is. I am clueless on the yellow light then unless like you mention, might be for sport-o-matics?

Yellow light not used! But a flashlight behind it, gauge has a plate behind it to back light the gauge. Thats the way it was on mine.

Sport-o-matics?
Yup, for the Sportos. Overtemp light for the torque converter, as I recall. Blanked off from the back for all but the ~25 Sportos, as 904svo said.

that combo gauge was only used in 73-76 2.0L cars not equipped with a console. there was an oil temp gauge in the console.

Exactly......... why have it in both places..best thing to do is add one
for the head temp.
