Original Customs Build. 2056 +
If you are unfamiliar, follow the thread $5k motor in the member vendors
section or go here for detail.
This is a 0 (zero) miles 2056 built off of one of Jake's kits
Due to circumstances this engine became a spare for me & has never
been installed or fired.
Engine is as spec'ed, with the only internal variation of ceramic lifters applied
(a $600 ugrade when you could get them)
Rather than a long block (delivered), this is a complete motor/drive train
needing nothing.
Bolt in, connect wiring and fuel and go.
Here's the rub (flame suit on). This is'nt a fire sale,
so I'm looking to get back what I have into this kit.
If the consensus is its to much $$
& I'll likley be sitting on this forever, I have a plan B.
Per the program the cost of the LB build is $5000.
I supplied all necessary core 2.0 components = (let's call) $500
Ceramic Lifters = $600 (Wear resistant, lighter valve train = higher revs)
Refinished Tin, Shroud & Airbox =
Headflowmaster rebuilt heads, 1.7 rockers, 911 adjusters, solid spacers =

Ceramic coated port matched intake runners =
Complete OE Djet FI incd. solid harness and good MPS =

CRF 1 5/8" header / Evo Exhaust = $1995 (good for a claimed 15% boost in pwr.)
Jwest engineering side shift linkage kit = $570

ect.
Figure 125HP / 130FPT with provided OE Djet (more w/PEFI or Carbs)

Lets call it $9000
Seems like a lot I know, but price it out and you'll see it adds up fast
Am pretty sure builder would still honor limited warantee.
Any interest?
Quick cure for any one suffering with Jack stand-itis.
Long story...short recap:
my 1st 914 a 74 LE burned down
Shortly after I bought a 73 1.7 from Barrier Porsche/Audi in
Bellevue WA. in early 90's...then Blew the 73's 1.7 engine .
Repaired/rebuilt the LE.s 2.0 eng. & put in 73 as driver.
Finally started a resto on the LE and needed the # matching eng. so
I ordered the Orig. Customs 2056.
Along happens a 2 car deal with a fresh 1.7 in one, the other a 2.0L.
Update that 1.7 with 96's from Jake and slap on the 2.0L heads, induction/FI & exhaust
from the other = nice 1911 driver .
The 2056 from Mark was'nt done/delivered yet, so in goes the updated 1911 to my 73.
I Recently sold that 73 1911 after 16+ yrs. of ownership
The 2.0L from the other car..? That ended up as DNHunt's now infamous 2270.
The restoration on the LE is 95% done, so time to off the spares including this motor.
