My '74 has a VIN plate on my front right headlight bucket. This plate contains the following:

Type 47
VIN Number
Unknown String: 4/255A
Unknown String: PQUITZ~~~596
Unknown String: 1270 650 650

Anybody able to decipher the unknown strings?

This plate? Is yours identical to this (except the VIN)?

Heizg. Typ = Heizungstyp = type of heater

Sorry, but you will have to be able to read German to make sense of those "Unknown Strings" ... biggrin.gif
