Sorry guys, I appreciate your help, but I want to be sure that the fuchs I have been offered are right for my narrow bodied 914.

They are 16 x 6 and I have asked for the seller to send me the part numbers, fo r which I have received the following reply...

I dont know the diff on the sixes , But on the sevens thearly and late have a different shape triangle window between the spokes.
One being square on the rim side and the other curved .

Get pictures of- each.-

I think Jeff might have mis-read
on the 16's, I don't think there is an earyl/late, heart issue

your good
16 x6's fit well

probably 16x7s would fit with a narrow tire..
but the 6's are really safe

your good to go!

I'm running 16x7's on all four corners with 205-60's. slight rubbage on the rears because I need stiffer springs and adjustable perches. Cornering hard takes the tire up into the wheel well too far.

With all of my Fuching about recently I have come to the conclusion that 50 series tyres are best for a 16" wheel

( I have 60 profiles on my 15" 4 bolts, so a lower profile on the larger wheel should be correct? )

Tire diameter = ((((width * aspect ratio)/10)/25.4)x2) + wheel diameter

There is a early and late PN and on the 16x7's the base of the heart early curved and late straight.

I didn't realize there was an early late in 16inch diameter

I found some documentation, All mine are early.pre 85 The 7's definately have a different shape heart.
