I finished the bumper conversion. Since my car is a 75 and I am backdating the bumpers, I had to cut off the metal lip that runs across the car right below the front trunk lid. It turned out really nice. Now I need to track down some fog light grills.

Finally got around to installing the harness for the passenger seat over the weekend. Strapped my daughter in and took her for her first ride in the car. She loved it.

Got some new tires today. WAY better than the old ones. My previous tires had plenty of tread but were about 9 years old(shows how long the car was parked!) The new tires aren't too aggressive but they do provide MUCH more stick. I stayed with a 195/60/15. I think next time I will try to slip some 205/55's under there. driving.gif

Today I got the carpet kit, speaker pods and the driver's side harness installed. Looking way cool in my opinion!

Ahhhh....finally some progress. Today I installed the upper and lower dash from Dr. Evil and the door panels from Morphenspectra( I had the panels in but I still needed to finish the arm rests. I also got the carbon fiber dash kit in. It was a good day!

I finally got the master cylinder brace installed this weekend. No pics but it looks the same as the how-to pics on this site.

I also have both door panels in now. I am debating putting the armrest on the passenger side. I kind of like the clean look without it.

Got the driver's side door panel installed. I almost hated to put the door pocket on and cover up the beautiful panels from James. Everything lined up and popped right in. Looks better than the original. I'll post pics as soon as my computer is out of the shop.

The speaker pods I ordered are also in. These things are SUPER clean. Way cool part James.

Top and bottom dash should be here any minute now along with the targa pad.

Met Travis Neff last night and picked up one of his master cylinder braces. Very simple and clean looking. Should be a piece of cake to install.

Obviously I have enough to keep me busy for an afternoon. Pics to be posted ASAP after everything is in. driving.gif

The parts are beginning to show up on my doorstep! Today I received some beautiful door panels from James(he says the speaker pods are ready to ship as well!) and the carbon fiber dash face kit from 9XAuto. Both look fantastic. The only problem I can see is that my dash kit does not have a 3rd hole on the left of the steering column for the fog light switch. I think making one shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Talked to Dr. Evil today and he tells me that my top and bottom dash should be done early next week.

I am too slammed with work this week but I hope to get most everything installed by the end of next weekend. I'll post pics ASAP. driving.gif

The rear bumper conversion is done. No more huge impact bumpers!

I also decided to lower the rear one more notch. I think I'm finally happy with the way it sits.

Here is what happens when you walk into a place that sells 914 parts and you ask, "So what else you got for a 914?" I didn't plan on getting these but they had them and I needed them. Hopefully they will get installed this weekend.
