Edit, Have ten more sets available.
I have seen many cars that deleted all of the heater parts and left the J tube holes in the tins open where the fan can suck hot air in. I made these to cover the holes and look better than a paint cap stuffed in the hole. I can supply them bare if you want to paint to a special tin color. Had them made from .047" mild steel. Bent the tuck tabs by hand. Each set consists of two plates , 6mm socket head screws. washers and nuts. Price is $27.50 per set shipped. PMs will be sent to those who replied to this thread. I have seen many cars tha deleted all of the heater parts and left the J tube holes in the tins open where the fan can suck hot air in. I think I could makes these fairly inexpensively. Price would be $20-$25 a pair. They would be powder coated black and attach thru the hole in the tin that is for the J tube attachment screw. I'd be interested. |

I think a better solution is something like this. These could be powder coated or maybe could even be found already black. Even some plastics could be acceptable - the factory J-tube delete cap on the passenger side is a polyethylene plastic.

[/quote Good idea but I do not find that type of metal cap plug available in sizes over 2". Larger plastic plugs are available but the only ones I found were bright green. Also the clearance to the vertical wall on the cylinder tin is only 3mm so the head may hit. One issue I see is that most tins are bent up and the plate may not sit flat. |

I found some 3" flat black plastic plugs on Amazon which, along with some black RTV, covers the holes. For how long I don't know. I am certainly open to a more permanent solution.
