I don't think it's that bad, brightens up an otherwise played down look. Maybe wouldn't have been my choice of color, but..

IMHO just feeds NARP syndrome.

Dino owners don't need to put Ferrari logos on the side. 914's don't either in my opinion.

If you're driving it just because it says Porsche or feel the need for the world to know that, you're probably driving it for the wrong reason.

the silver paint is dull and faded and with all of the black and silver on the car, we thought of installing something to brighten it up a bit. Really do not car if it says porsche or anything else but had the stripe on the shelf.

I am not color blind, but I find that it is hard to read. There is not enough contrast.

Black would be good on that, though.

Bright never hurts anything, especially as cars in general have become pedestrian (haha) in their paint colors.

I have tried to make it my mission to not purchase a car that is white, grey/silver, or black. Let all the bland folks drive their silver Dodges or white Fords and so forth.

Have I owned those colors? Yes. I will fess up here.

White 1979 LeCar
White 1985 1/2 Escort
Black 1986 Ford F150
White 198? Suzuki Samurai
Black 2002 Mustang GT
White 1981 Ford F150
White 1991 Cherokee

Plus 21 other cars of other more interesting colors. (Yes, I've owned 28 cars and I'm 'only' 55)

Keep life interesting!!

I prefer the light decals on a black background. These were from 914Rubber.

A wild color like that can look good if the wheels are the same... Maybe.

I'd put this logo between the tail lights:

Then, slap some Monster Energy, UFC, and Ducks Unlimited stickers on your rear window and bumpers. That way, everyone will know what's up.

In all seriousness, these cars look much cleaner with minimal or no badging in my opinion.

I like that look too! A black stripe would look great with body color rockers too.

No. I'm not a fan of the Porsche side stripe in general, but the neon orange screams "look at me" on an otherwise nicely understated example of a 914.
