i am going to fab the rotisserie arms for the car this weekend and may as well do the door braces at the same time , could you show me how you have built yours and where you have mounted them to please

No pic but the best way imo is to make a turnbuckle style that bolts to the door latch and on the front end to the door mount ( s ). Adding a turnbuckle in the middle allows for adjustment if your car is sagging a bit with the doors open. A cross or " X " brace is also a really good idea to prevent the chassis from twisting. That can be done by welding tabs onto each door brace and bolting the X to them once the braces are installed.

cheers found what i wanted ( pic below ) i did a search under door brace but found nothing ? i must be doing the search wrong.
Andy ; this layout is exactly what i had drawn to build , so good to know someone has already done it.  |

I think going to the seat belt anchor up higher is a stronger solution and allows less flex in the door opening.

That makes for a nice triangle while leaving enough room to work on the longs or floors. If your car is very rusted, you can also add a X brace between the front targa top latch mounts and the rear targa top latch mounts. If possible, make the braces adjustable so you can expand/contract them if needed.
