I am past the point of any expectation as to a christmas gift. However, I always pay special attention to purchasing my darling bride something special and thoughtful.....always pays off.

I got a gift from my 19 year old son, that I rebuilt the SIlver Bullet with (74 2.0), and he could hardly contain himself while I opened it.

Best Gift EVER!

The guys in our local Ace (very local, 200 yr history) have a very old version of this hanging in the fastner isle - saved us time/money over the years making certain that the size and threads are correct....

How many 19yr kids do you know that know the difference between and 20 and a 32? Or a 1.0 vs a 1.5?

Best gift ever! Just know that when you have something like this you become like the guy with the pickup truck in the neighborhood. Everybody asks you to help them move, or in our case to check a thread. lol.

Smart Kid. For the rest of you, you can use a Tap & Die set with a thread gauge. Harbor Freight has them for for < $20. PS, don't try to thread anything harder than aluminum with the HF set. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/av-943.gif)

They have those exact sizers on the fastener aisle at all of the Lowes. Saves us a lot of time with customers.
