I am looking for the original engine of my 914/6 (type 901/36; no. 640 5455). The car is in the Netherlands (Europe) now but was originally sold by a dealer in the US. Would anybody know where this engine is or have a starting point for my search? Thanks, Paul

Hello Paul, and welcome!
It is a good idea to put your engine number information in the title/subject of your thread. It is more likely to be found when someone does a search. I believe we also have a thread here with engine numbers, need to look a bit. Good luck! Here you go, look at the thread “914/6 engine serial numbers” under the Originality and History tab. http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showtopic=111670 |

As said above, there's a running thread in the "Originality and History" forum. It's a long shot but there are always some eyes on that thread. I'm also looking for the original engine of my /6. Good luck! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bye1.gif) |
