I have a chubby..
I also didnt realize that they have made only 250 or so GT3R/RS/RSRs since '99... which means our car is one of 250.. I see so many Rs at the races around here, I thought there were more |

They keep on bumping up those restrictors. It was 29.0 a few years ago. The current GT3 RSR is 29.4, and now its 30.0!
I hear from pretty reliable sources that the new 997 cup and RSR engine is going to be totally different then the current breed. |

I bet they base it on the new block. They have raced everything else they have designed for the street first.

They've never raced the wet sump blocks, but look how many problems those are having.
I dont know if its a new block. It may have new valving, cams, and head design. Who knows though. We wont see them until next year. |

The GT3 is a dry sump engine. The turbo, GT2 and GT3 are the only watercooled engines that are dry sump still.

Thats what I'm saying. The 996 and 997 street blocks are still wet sump (except for turbos, GT3 and GT2) and they're very far from race blocks.
