The point of this thread is to hear all voices.
Most of you have your favorite marques. I used to, until I experimented. So, what do you/your loving other drive to work? I appreciate those who drive 914's every day, but most of can't, for various reasons. What I'd be curious to know, besides what you drive daily, is - did you but it or lease it? Would you buy one? (since leasing seems to be becoming a lost item). Why do you drive what you drive? Would you buy one again? Do you like it? Hate it? Just curious. Pat |

Love to see this stuff, especially as there are so many diverse people/answers...
Well, I went the germanic route until the end twister; 1975 914 1.9 Ljet - Almost fully restored, runs great, but in storage at the parents farm and not driven enough by me. 1995 993 C4 - Perfect and stock, my current PCA DE car and general weekend evening car. 74 914 2.1l that I co-own that we are building into a track car. 2003 Audi A4 Avant 1.8t - Wonderful car, great interior, VERY solid and smooth, love it 2003 VW Jetta Wagon (Wife's) - Great roundabout car, wonderful steering, a little slow (2.0) but torquey (However, selling it to the 'rents due to the inclusion of the next car (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) ) 2009 Handa Odyssey EX-L (Wife's) - Just bought yesterday due to the second baby, thus making it 2 kids and 1 big dog for many trips to the parents. It drives like a honda which is pretty good, but I am very sad to sell the Jetta. (Buy a car now, this was $6k under sticker) HOWEVER, my Daily driver is the NJTransit train to NYC. Strangely, they never let me drive... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |
