The point of this thread is to hear all voices.
Most of you have your favorite marques. I used to, until I experimented. So, what do you/your loving other drive to work? I appreciate those who drive 914's every day, but most of can't, for various reasons. What I'd be curious to know, besides what you drive daily, is - did you but it or lease it? Would you buy one? (since leasing seems to be becoming a lost item). Why do you drive what you drive? Would you buy one again? Do you like it? Hate it? Just curious. Pat |

I bought new cars since 69 ( two 69 mach 1's and my wife's 69 camaro, 76 3/4 ton 4x4 silverado with 16.5 off road tires factory, then a 2000 harley truck not counting numerous toyotas, cressidas and hondas) and now that I'm retired I only drive about 10k in all my cars combined.
Wife has a 09 camry, My stuff is kinda trip specific, 86 v6 fiero v6 automatic with ac with 80k stock with a chip 140hp, 88 5spd gt fiero with ac with a 3.4 with chev's hottest cam and headers, about 190hp, except for the new motor it has 65k on it, it will get third gear rubber, 86k5 blazer with a 350 ramjet with mefi 4 ecu and the third built 700r4 going to 3:73's to help the tranny reliability some, it's got the larger accusump, goes pretty good it will hit the rev limiter in d which is 5800 thats with the current 3:43 axles and 32 inch tires, 91 4x4 3/4 ton suburban silverado pkg, everytning still works, it has 131k on it. It replaced the k5 for towing as it has a 4l80 not the 4l80e. 96 sportster 1200 with 4k of motor upgrades to try to make it run like my old v65 1100 hondas, no chance, but it does run pretty good it's kinda like comparing a built t4 to a dohc suby na of course. Umpteen projects and kit cars waiting their turn. |
