The point of this thread is to hear all voices.
Most of you have your favorite marques. I used to, until I experimented. So, what do you/your loving other drive to work? I appreciate those who drive 914's every day, but most of can't, for various reasons. What I'd be curious to know, besides what you drive daily, is - did you but it or lease it? Would you buy one? (since leasing seems to be becoming a lost item). Why do you drive what you drive? Would you buy one again? Do you like it? Hate it? Just curious. Pat |

Besides the 76 914, we drive two other cars.
Hers: 2002 Acura RSX-S (Integra) with 65K miles. This has been a great car for us. Excellent handling and shifting. Good mileage. Surprisingly practical with impressive load volume with the rear hatch and fold down rear seats. We use it for trips and pack plenty of bags, coolers, beach chairs, etc with no problem. Last year some idiot came through a stop sign and punched in the pasenger side door. SOB! Pretty good repair, but, you know the feeling. I'd buy another if they still made them. Mine: 2005 Nissan Frontier Kingcab V-6 with 43K miles. Nice truck with the most comfortable seats I have ever had. Solid and drives and handles well for a truck. Down side is modest gas mileage, but it is a lot bigger and more powerfull than my previous 1992 Nissan Hardbody 4-cylinder pickup. Timing chain replaced under warranty. This has been a problem for this Nissan engine. I hope there are no other problems as I would like to drive this truck for several more years. Hey Mark (Euro911), Your 67 911 looks just great. The lines of the early 911's are are so nice, simple and uncluttered. Pretty. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |
