The point of this thread is to hear all voices.
Most of you have your favorite marques. I used to, until I experimented. So, what do you/your loving other drive to work? I appreciate those who drive 914's every day, but most of can't, for various reasons. What I'd be curious to know, besides what you drive daily, is - did you but it or lease it? Would you buy one? (since leasing seems to be becoming a lost item). Why do you drive what you drive? Would you buy one again? Do you like it? Hate it? Just curious. Pat |

My current DD is a '91 F-150. I own it free and clear- bought it from my grandpa for $2600 about two years ago. The bottom line is, it was the right kind of truck for the right price. I don't get into the extended/crew cab trucks because to me, if all you want is something to shuttle people around in, why buy something that tends to be a gas hog like a truck? Plus, what's the point in even owning a truck that only has a 4 foot bed on it?
I'm the kind of guy that, when it comes to my DD, my attitude is "I bought it to use not to look pretty" so even tho I do take care of the body, the places that are beginning to rust don't bother me. I would have liked it to be a 4x4 stick shift, but it's just a plain old rear wheel auto. But like I said- the right kind of truck for the right price. Just a single cab with an 8 foot bed- original factory radio (I did add a couple of speakers behind the seat). The electric windows are about as fancy as it gets. Like I said- I bought it to use not to look pretty. |
