I bought some items for my car off of Randy Webb of webmotorsports.com.
He sent me some of the stuff but hasn't sent everything. Still missing a drivers seat. I have phoned him several times to get the items and he always says his email has dumped and lost my contact info. I talked to him last month where he assured me that he would send it and he was glad I called because, once again, he lost my contact info. This seems strange since he runs an online business webbmortorsports.com I was wondering what recorse I have to get my seat or my money back. He lives in Denver and I'm in San Jose, CA. I guess I'm out of luck with this guy. Oh, this has been going on for over a year! Any suggestions appreciated. Olav |

Hey Everyone,
Thanks for all you assistance on and off this board. Randy did get in touch and seems open to resolving this on going problem. I'm just going to include some of the email correspondence for posterity. And to provide material evidence. First response for initial inquiry: ************************************** From: Randy9146@aol.com Date: Thu Nov 21, 2002 05:47:06 PM US/Pacific To: olava@mac.com Subject: Re: 914-6 parts.. Olav, I still have the parts you have listed. You can reach me at 720-344-0210. Thanks for the interest. Randy **************************************** A follow up which clearly includes the seat: ***************************************** From: Randy9146@aol.com Date: Sun Nov 24, 2002 09:28:55 PM US/Pacific To: olava@mac.com Subject: Re: 914-6 parts.. Olav, Been swamped. I still have to make the trip to UPS to find out the shipping for you. I'll send everything but the driver seat until I sell a few things from FL - then I'll send that too. Thanks for the patience. Randy ******************************************** Yet another follow up with wiring harness and seat mentioned. ******************************************** From: Randy9146@aol.com Date: Wed Dec 04, 2002 02:05:20 PM US/Pacific To: olava@mac.com Subject: Re: 914-6 parts.. Address is 3962 E. Garnet Ct. Highlands Ranch, CO 80126 Check is fine. If I come across a bumper, I'll give you a call. If you have the list of parts you wanted handy, it would help out. I have them, 'cause I looked over it to price everything, I just don't have it in front of me. I'll send off the seat and wiring harness stuff the next time I get down to FL. Randy ******************************************** First email dump reported!!!!!!!!!! ********************************************* From: Randy9146@aol.com Date: Sun Jan 05, 2003 01:25:45 PM US/Pacific To: olava@mac.com Subject: Re: 914-6 parts.. Thank God you e-mailed! I've been waiting to hear from you. My computer dumped everything!!!!! I need to get your address, and I think I know all of the stuff you want - the e-brake, the backpad, the footrest, what other things are there? I am VERY sorry for this. I got your check, and I'll send it out first thing tomorrow! Randy 720-344-0210 ******************************************* Another follow up in September to get the rest of my stuff. ******************************************** From: Randy Webb Date: Mon Sep 29, 2003 09:04:13 AM US/Pacific To: olava@mac.com Subject: Re: Fwd: 914-6 parts.. Reply-To: randy@mini-motorsport.com Olav, How are you? I think the last time we spoke I mentioned that I would probably be back in Florida for the holidays, and that I would send it then. Let me know if you have any other questions. Could you also resend the address that you want me to send the items to? It has been a while, and I want to make sure nothing has changed. Thanks, Randy Begin forwarded message: From: B. Olav Anderson Date: Tue Sep 23, 2003 11:34:13 AM US/Pacific To: info@mini-motorsport.com Subject: Fwd: 914-6 parts.. Randy, Here is the text of one of your messages. I was wondering when you will be sending the seat and seals? Thanks, Olav Begin forwarded message: From: Randy9146@aol.com Date: Fri Dec 06, 2002 01:23:32 PM US/Pacific To: olava@mac.com Subject: Re: 914-6 parts.. steering wheel backpad and passenger seat footrest basketweave kit parking brake handle and cables I'll send the seals and driver seat later. Randy _______________________________ Powered by MINI COOPER Online http://www.minicooperonline.com ******************************************* I subsequently phoned January 13th at 8:20 according to my phone records to ask if I was ever going to get my seat, wiring harness and seals. He said his email dumped once again and lost my contact info. He said the items were all packed up and ready to go from his grandparents place because he was in Florida during Christmas. He didn't have my contact info at the time so could not send it. He was once again relieved that I called so I could give him my address to finally send the stuff out even though he knew I was on the 914world.com board. (interesting) I gave him my address and thought I would get the items now. Now, I am at the mercy of his grandfather sending the items out to me. As you can see this has been going on for over a year and a bit. I think the emails speak for themselves and are rather impartial. I think I'll just get some of my money back. How much should I get back for a drivers seat, wiring harness and "some seals" thanks again. |
