Hi Pete,
FYI, so you don't sound uninformed: Beemers are the bikes, BIMMERs are the cars. Also, get the Ci if you don't need to drive it in the snow. For snow, you'll absolutely love an E30 325ix. I don't have experience with the more recent xi models, but BMW makes a very good product so they are probably good in snow as well. My first BMW was a '72 3.0CSi (E9): THAT was a challenge to drive in snow. I did it for many years with just rear snow tires and never went off road. Really needed a light foot to accomplish that! Do yourself a favor and join BMW Car Club of America too. Great magazine, great events, and a wonderful group of car guys and gals. -Mike |
