I have been working my tail off and saving money to build my 2litre motor this summer, so far i have saved $2500, If should have another $1500 in a month or so. However, I have been seeing 2.7-6 and 2.4-6 on ebay, the recycler and other places from $850.00 - $4000.
My question is - is it worth upgrading to a 2 litre from my 1.7, when a couple of thousand dollars more, i could get a six? And what is involved (price wise) to convert it from a 4 to a six. Give me some feedback - Craig |

You can do a /4 for a lot less than a /6.
The /6 is cooler of course, but if you have to rebuild a 2.0-2.4 /6 you may as well have bought a good 3.0-3.2 to start with. Once you have a /6 done you will want to upgrade to 5 bolt fuch's and brakes etc. so you might want to add those prices in. Then you will want flares thus a new paint job as well.
