As idiotic as it is, man what a story.
The facts: 1) three kids in a Porsche 2) outran a pursuing police vehicle 3) jumped across an open drawbridge and made it 4) survived to tell the story Now don't get me wrong. These guys are idiots plain and simple, but how many people have a story this good with pictures to prove it? I'm glad it was a 914. File it away under "Cool things done in a 914." A Gremlin? Come on... The Gremlin guys would be lucky if "Coolest thing done in a Gremlin" was "made out with the girl with the lazy eye". What was that early '80's spy movie where they jumped a silver 911 turbo over the Berlin wall (leaving it in much the same condition as the draw-bridge 914)? I saw it around 1982 or so. I was 11 or 12, visiting an aunt and uncle and pretended to be asleep then got up and watched it on HBO in the middle of the night. I had found a way to see it because I had seen in the trailers that there was a Porsche chase scene in the movie. -Ben M. |
