So I was in Salt Lake City on business and took the opportunity to meet Eric Shea of PMB Performance to talk 914's, brakes and of course, see the GT replica he is building. All I can say is Eric is a great guy; he met me at my hotel, took me to lunch and spent a couple of hours with me.
I spent time drooling over his car and then ordered the balance of the brake parts I need for my car. I can't wait to receive the box from PMB once all of the my stuff is plated and there. If you think his car looks good in the pictures he has posted you should see it in person. Then we went to a friend's shop where I met Troy of Lundquist Restorations and I got to see several of the cars he is restoring. I will definitely keep Troy in mind when it comes time to strip my car and paint it. Just beautiful work. Anyway, if you have the opportunity, stop and meet Eric and his doggie Rio. Class act and all around great guy. |

QUOTE What does PMB stand for anyway? Pack My Bags. The wife said if you don't start making money at this stupid grease monkey thing you'd better "Pack Your Bags"! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) Actually, it was Porsche, Mercedes and BMW. The idea was to open a more global site using the WorldPak modules but my marketing thoughts crept in and I said to myself... "Self? that's really *&^ing stupid. The Internet is shrinking the world and it's better to concentrate in smaller dedicated markets. Go with what you know Ho." So PMB stuck (for now). I've branched out into Alfa, Ferrari and doing a LOT of 911 brakes now, along with the staple 914 stuff but... a majority of my business is brakes, brakes and more brakes. Michael will attest to the three shelves full of workorders and more lined up on the floor the entire length of the bench. I need to get back to work. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif) I do own another site which I plan to launch in 2011 but... more on that when the time comes. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) |
