Oh my God...... what a hard lesson. Its amazing the crap we eat and the pressures put on kids to perpetuate it.

Genetics doesn't have anything to do with it. My Dad, Mom and older brother are all overwieght as were thier parents. My younger brother and I do not subscribe to this, so we watch what we eat and stay active.
I think what most people miss the point on is when someone says "Be active" they don't mean work out at the gym once a week. That isn't going to do much. Being active means working every day, e-v-e-r-y day. Every night I will work on something when I get home. I will work up a sweat and work until my body hurts at least 6 days of the week probably 15 times a week. Genetics or big boned is an excuse. Get up out of that chair man!
