Hello all, I am thinking of buying a classic family car that is in good shape, less than $20k, will rise in value and is cheap to maintain (likely a chevy). I know all you guys are car nuts and have other cars too (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif), I was thinking about a 1940 chevy... Anyone have any suggestions? |

But be aware the the mpg is from the days of 25 cent a gallon gas, so even my Pontiac only got 7-10 mpg, which was why I got my 914 in 1975 & sold it - after the first oil crisis sent gas over a dollar a gallon! There's also then the choice for later Euro & other foreign classics which opens up after 25 years - so maybe a nice Euro M535, etc.??
