There is a huge difference beyond torque and HP curves between a stock 3.2 and a modified 2.5 Type IV. Jake, have you ridden or driven in a 914 with a big 6? Driving both back to back would make for a very interesting comparision. Or even better, owning and driving both over the course of a couple months would be even better. I agree with others that both are probably good solutions - I'd like to have a 2.5/4 as an 800 mile per year autocross car, and a 3.6/6 as a 5k miles per year weekend/DE/road trip car (done). -Steve |
