I was just thinking of all the Air cooled VWs that I had. I started with my first car a 1958 VW Bug that I bought in 1968. $75. And a real piece of shit but my first car.
I went on to having more new VW Bugs and Campers in my life and got started with VW –Porsche 914 in 1978. Always loved the VW air cooled product and also enjoyed a new Rabbit Pick Up in 1981 Bob B |

Just now found this thread while catching up on old posts.
Current: 67 Beetle getting the nostalgia cal-look with BRM wheels etc. 73 Karmann Ghia Vert (my high school car) Linnemann (sp?) fiberglass buggy project (Manx style) Future: I have made an agreements to purchase my dad's 1966 Beetle later this summer. Past: 69 Lowered Beetle on 2.0 Fuchs (converted to 4-speed from auto stick) 74 Beetle (non-super) with Empi SprintStar wheels 64 Karmann Ghia coupe 68 Beetle (converted to 4-speed from auto stick) 70 Beetle (auto stick) 70 Sunroof Bug 72 Super Beetle 75 914 bought as a project, sold as a project 76 914 bought as a project, sold as a project 69 Karmann Ghia coupe + a number of water cooled VWs. Mostly GTI's and GLI's. I am probably forgetting an air cooled or two somewhere but that is pretty much it. |
