We have one horn but the other is dead. We cannot tell the HZ of the existing horn, so we would like to buy a matching pair.

That's interesting. Ive never seen horns such as those fitted to any 914 only 75-76. Because of the big bumpers and the way they are mounted to the 75-76 cars there is no room for the horns. The older style horns will direct the sound downward hence the difference in the 75-76 style facing the sound forward. Again not saying the older style work, a horn is a horn. |

That's interesting. Ive never seen horns such as those fitted to any 914 only 75-76. Because of the big bumpers and the way they are mounted to the 75-76 cars there is no room for the horns. The older style horns will direct the sound downward hence the difference in the 75-76 style facing the sound forward. Again not saying the older style work, a horn is a horn. Here's a picture of my driver's side horn from my late '76, #3947. The passenger side is also round. Note the original undercoating on the mounting nut. |
