We have one horn but the other is dead. We cannot tell the HZ of the existing horn, so we would like to buy a matching pair.

That's interesting. Ive never seen horns such as those fitted to any 914

only 75-76. Because of the big bumpers and the way they are mounted to the 75-76 cars there is no room for the horns. The older style horns will direct the sound downward hence the difference in the 75-76 style facing the sound forward.

Again not saying the older style work, a horn is a horn.

Here's a picture of my driver's side horn from my late '76, #3947. The passenger side is also round. Note the original undercoating on the mounting nut.

My 76 only has one. Driver's side. Identical to the one pictured just above. No provisions for a passenger side horn. No wiring for one.
