Perfect ! They all look great.
When handling them they seem so tall compared to modern tires. Thank you all. |

Perfect ! They all look great. When handling them they seem so tall compared to modern tires. Thank you all. They are, but they're what's "right" for the 914...though I also like the way narrow 914s handle on 205/60, 205/55, 195/60, and 195/65. XWXs and Vreds look more correct as street tires, and I am sure they are better in wet conditions, but I went CR6ZZ after wanting more performance than the Vreds offered. I went hardest compound but would go softest compound if I had it to do over again (I'll time them out rather than wear them out), but really like them overall. Curious about the CN36 on a 914, as I hear rave reviews from 911 drivers, but the CN36 can look perfect or a bit too tame or a bit too "truck tire" depending on their size and application. Can't put my finger on why, as I love the CN36's vintage looks. Ah, and: Nice car, Jeff!! |
