Yeehaa, i finally got a Quaife (Dave at GPR is great!) and now its again gearbox time.
This seasons saldo was 3 final drive's and 5cv's, so i'am running out of spare parts, still one set of fd though. Does anyone have picture and/or dimensions of the special mandrel P258? Could also buy one if someone have extra to sell. I need to adjust my final drive. I might still need to do the job without proper tools (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) any ideas for that? You can set the ring and pinion using prussian blue, or white grease..
just smear some on the ring gear, then rotate the shaft, pull the dif out and check the pattern in the grease. the pinion should bear in the middle section of the ring gears teeth. |
