A few years ago I started an annual Christmas Intro on another 914 site.
Seems like it would fit nicely in here too. Just introduce yourself. Tell the rest of us a little about you and your family, your 914. Mike Cooley aka Cooltimes, MikeCool I am a 914 addict or just plain old 914 nut from Memphis TN Married to "Red" since 1961 We have 1 son, Mike Jr also a 914 person for life 2 Grandsons, Paul and Tony Pet is Katie cat I have owned lots of 914's, around 30, since 1970. My latest, a 1975 914 1.8 fuel injected, was a gift from another 914 group on Rennlist. Merry Christmas, Happy holidays or whatever. MikeCool |

Ok, Ok, I'll bite.........
Name is Ron Meier. Pushed 60 this year (age, not speed) My passion with these cars started in 1970 when I was a go-fer and later a wrench on a 914/6 racing team and later graduated to Formula Cars and CAN-AM (McLaren MK-8E). Personally raced Bugeye Sprites, MGBs, Triumph TR4s. Been in and out of racing and finally completely out about 15 years ago. Live in the land of temporary ice and snow ---- Mountains of Southern California. Have traveled/lived throughout the US. Been in Technical Sales most of my life (water and wastewater treatment), but sold most everything except for bras and dill pickles. Currently working in the automotive field (core broker). Am a pilot, but don't fly anymore except lo-level on the freeway. Now living the single life-style again due to being the world's biggest asshole. Have 3 offspring that I know of...two twin girls 18 and a son 23. Girls are closest 914 lovers (but I won't give them one of mine) and the boy went to the dark side (2002 Corvette), but has been eyeing one of the 14s. He will desecrate it with an LS1 though if I gave him the chance. Love this board and helping the members with my miniscule knowledge and parts. I mainly function as a thread hijacker and general all around instigator of hostility for fun. Wishing you and yours the best of today and the coming years. |
