Good morning everyone,anyone using a Boxster cable shifter or other similar?
My engine swap won't allow the use of stock shift linkage.

The mechanism I built is for a subaru transmission (which has the shift rod at the rear of the tranny). It looks very similar to the one sold by Zero Decibel Motorsports (only theirs is prettier).

There's a couple of folks on here who have made cable mechanisms for the side shift and tail shift 914 transmissions. Here's one thread on the topic:

By the way, I have two brand-new 6-foot long push-pull cables that I will sell to you for half of what they cost new. They were too short for my subaru transmission, but they might be just right for the side-shift location on the 914 tranny.

I am assuming the cables are for Subaru shifter? I don't care about pretty,just functionality. What year, model suby? Good info! Thx.
