Got the six this morning. Most of it anyway. I will pick up the rest of it later. I hurt my back putting it in the truck and now I can barely lift my propel to take a drink. I just downed 1000mg of Ibuprofin so I am hoping it helps. Anyway. I know someone will post (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/thisthreadisworthlesswithoutpics.gif)

If the valve covers were bead blasted you need to wash the hooey out of them with a scrub brush and soap and water, then wash them again. It's not adviseable to bead blast the oil side of aluminum or magnesium components. Non ferrous cast metal can retain glass bead particles, and release them after they've got good and hot. You don't really don't want to find this out the hard way (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif)
I'm guessing you didn't have any choice in the matter. FYI, walnut shells or plastic media is the only way to go. Congrats on the purchase (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smilie_pokal.gif) Now you just need to get some conversion parts from me (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wink.gif) |
