Hi, working away on a refresh of some items on my Bumblebee. One of the items I want to address is the cheap carpet kit it has that has not been installed very well to boot.
I am going to place an order for a kit. The question is which color. I want to go with the German Loop. There is a black, early charcoal and late charcoal. Which color is the most appropriate for a Bumblebee with a black interior. ![]() |

Ok. So, not much value added then lol…
Too bad there’s no way to get a heat formed replacement. I was optimistic that the original carpet would clean up, but the passenger side just won’t clean up I’m not a fan of gluing things that can trap water |

Ok. So, not much value added then lol… Too bad there’s no way to get a heat formed replacement. I was optimistic that the original carpet would clean up, but the passenger side just won’t clean up I’m not a fan of gluing things that can trap water all confirmation is value. you are lucky if you can refit the original carpet being left hand drive. i have a similar view re glueing carpet but had little choice since rhd stuff i had to do is "fake - only way i could do rhs hand brake sill was to glue down. i was a little more tactical with the tunnel piece and only glued it enough to hold it along edges so i can get it up easy to do any tunnel work if it have to. though i recall the passenger side sill carpet was originally glued and the wheel well pieces along with the bit right up under dashboard above pedal box. but its a long time ago i took those out. so probably wrong memory. i think the idea of the heat formed pieces is that they were always intended to be easily removable for dealer mechanics to do service work on hand brake and to get tunnel access. |
