Hi, working away on a refresh of some items on my Bumblebee. One of the items I want to address is the cheap carpet kit it has that has not been installed very well to boot.
I am going to place an order for a kit. The question is which color. I want to go with the German Loop. There is a black, early charcoal and late charcoal. Which color is the most appropriate for a Bumblebee with a black interior.  |

sure to implode any moment. camera vision a bit fuzzy. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) but here is piech's proto GTI, his hot hatch version of the dynamited EA266. i think these were hand built in 1971. and it looks like they were already toying with the BMW "lux" mottled carpet. but its low res from deep down. the other one that VW has in its museum has your typical VW black/grey fuzz carpet. VW were getting ambitious? going from econoboxes to giving BMW and lower spec mercs a bit of a run for their money? (as an aside i bet this piech proto GTI would have given everyone a run for their money, 110hp - equal to a 914/6 - in a hot hatch, the guy was evil and i believe this version of the aborted EA 266 is what spawned the later golf GTI, anyway its still in porsches factory collection hidden in a dark corner).  |
