Okay, i know of 4 options for monoballs that will fit our cars.
looking for feedback on any of them, particularly the rennline product, as it's the cheapest option (and since i've cut my chassis/strut-mounts, i don't need aftermarket camberplates to get more camber). ------------- 1st option, Tarret http://www.tarett.com/Browse_Item_Details....89_911912914930 strut mounts with monoballs already inside. $450 (IMG:http://www.gprparts.com/brands/tarett/images/strutMounts.jpg) --------------- 2nd option, Weltmeister http://www.weltmeister.com/ProductDetails....x?productID=371 look similar to the tarret, but weltmeister stuff is generally quite a bit higher on the 'crap' factor. don't have a price. (IMG:http://www.weltmeister.com/ProductImages/911_camberplate.jpg) ------------------ 3rd option, Elephant racing http://www.elephantracing.com/suspension/m...edmonoballs.htm okay, they make good $hit. only a bearing, doesn't include camber plates or anything -- but again, i don't need these. they are "sealed" for protection from the elements. $295 (IMG:http://www.elephantracing.com/images/monoball/911/frontmonoball/monoballwseal.gif) ----------------------- 4th option, Rennline http://www.rennline.com/suspension/monoballs914.htm these are also sealed, come without strut mounts, just the bearing, but only cost $225. i can almost swallow that, but i'm wondering if the quality is as high as elephant racing. (IMG:http://www.rennline.com/photos/products/porsche/suspension/image/frontmonoball_911.jpg) ------------------------ please, discuss amongst yourselves... |

seriously though, I have a set (of the inserts) on my 911 made by Strasse, I think I paid $198~200 for them when they first came on the market a few years ago.
