If you have a vise, don't drive the pin out but press it out as follows:
Use a bolt slightly smaller than the pin, a deep socket and a vise. Clamp the bolt so as to drive against the pin and push it into the socket. You don't need to remove the pin all the way, just enough to get the joint apart. I reassemble by again using the vice against the pin with the socket on the other side to support the joint. |
