Can a 3.6 liter engine w/915 tranny be installed in a 914-6 without major modifications?
By "without major modifications" I mean that the car can be brought back to its original configuration....2.0 liter w/901 tranny. If not, what is the largest engine that can be installed "without major modifications?" |

No, It's just that the aftermarket sheet metal has to be much modified to get it to fit correctly. The front portion of the 3.6 does have a different contour to it,I don't think anyone has had or found a kit that fits correctly right outa da box. This old pic is a few years old,but it should give you some idea. All the yellow had to be added. Ron Attached image(s) |
