My dad, John Unthank (FlatVW) was t-boned in him 914 when some asshole ran a red light.
He is still in the emergency room now, he has 3 broken ribs, one of the bones in his neck is broken in 2 places, he has a broken nose and a large gash in his head. He is talking and is on morphine. I know nothing of the car at this point. My uncle just called my and told me that he found the yard that it is located in and it will be towed here tomorrow. For those of you who dont know the car is a 1975 914 with a raby 2270 with weber 44's and 911 suspension all the way around. It was bare metal restored by Patrick Motor Sports. He bough it last August. I don't know what else to say. -Jim |

This is a good report. It sure sounds like John is battered and brused, but not needing surgery is a good sign.
I will try to get by the hospital tomorrow if they allow visitors. Might not let visitors in ICU. We'll see. |
