May 20 and May 21
We are currently in the early planning stages of a track day in Colorado. We are going to ride on the coat tails of a PCA planned event, but the goal is to get enough 914's signed up so that we can have our own run times. The event will take place approx. 2.5 hours SE of Denver at one of Colorado's last remaining tracks. The track fees will be paid for by Howard. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) Actually, the cost will probably be in the $125 range for a 2 day event. Timing will take place, so bragging rights are on the line. It would be great if some of you could show up. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wink.gif) plus, everyone can learn some great techniques from Experienced Porsche Driving Instructors. Accomadations, and our home base, will be at Brant's Birthplace home (literally) in a a small rural part of colorado where the buffalo roam, and the deer and the antelope play. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif) Bonfires and Beer will be the highlight of the accomadations. Please post if you would like more details. For anyone wanting to spend some time in denver, there are plenty of us willing to host you. (right gint? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/rolleyes.gif) ) Hope you guys can make it..................... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/beer.gif) |

OK.... So I'd like to come up... but I don't think I'll be running my car. I don't think we'll be ready by then. (You never know, but I don't want to push it!)
The thing is, I am turning 30 on the 19th of May, and I'm looking for an excuse to celebrate it out of town... I love Denver, and it's not hard to convince me to go. Soooo..... for those of us not planning to run, are we going to have anything besides the track scheduled? I want to come watch (and maybe ride along... hint hint) but I don't want to pressure myself to have the car ready for tech by the 10th of May. It'd be good to meet some of the people I missed at the RRC! |
