I'm preparing a 76 2ltr for installation. The smogged has been stripped off and placed in a box for safe keeping.
The wiring harness has a "rev limiter' device that pulgs in on it (75 and 76 cars). The name implies what it does...I think. Why would you want to limit engine revs, unless you are renting a U-Haul truck. Do I need it to run...can I alter it or leave it off? Attached image(s) ![]() |

I admit I am ignorant about this...

I admit I am ignorant about this... So what makes you think it is a rev limiter? C I was doing some research on how to hook-up the wiring harness (it was off when I bought the motor) and went to Jeff Bowlsby's site and found the 76 harness and Jeff had a picture of this part & harness.
