AA product performance claims, is this for real? Options

New AA catalog has a "fuel injection competition kit"

How can just replacing the injection give this much more power to a otherwise stock type 4?

I just spent lots of time and some $$ to get 15-20 hp out of my 2056 with lots of other associated tweeks. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I like George it is apparent that he is one of us - He really loves 914's. Thats great - and much appreciated. I have ordered from them in the past and been thrilled at the knowledge and help I have gotten at the hands of their staff. However, As some of you know my 4 year six cylinder conversion is coming to an appex and it is time for re-assembly. I need parts - seals, trims, dashpad, carpet kit, etc.... I asked George to send me a catalog - gave him my address, tried to get one from the website by purchasing it, but there is a limit for credit card purchases and the book falls below it. I even did the little trick he said to do in a thread here. I even called and asked them to send me one. I still got no catalog - And just my opinion, but AA's website sucks, very hard to navigate. I couldnt buy something from AA if I wanted to, hell, I couldnt even get a catalog. So, yesterday I ordered about $1200.00 worth of seals from Performance Products. I went to their website, compiled my list of goodies, called a rep (4 rings), gave him the part numbers and quantities from my shopping cart, and one day later I had my stuff. I really wanted to order from AA - I wanted to support a member of our community here. Just didn't work out that way. I also ordered 4 16x9 replica fuchs adding another 600.00 to the order.

This thing with the Injection system, sounds to good to be true. He said he removed it from their catalog - I believe him - So, it must be an honest mistake that it is still there. It seems that the price is an old higher price - from the old catalog. I would be willing to give him the benefit of the doubt on that. I sure wish I had a catalog to look at...

My intention here is not to steer people away from George and AA - I just wanted him to read this and see the hurdles I faced in attempting to do business with AA. I was really motivated to do so, and If I could get a catalog - I still need more stuff...

I am glad I found this community and would never try to stir the pot so to speak, again I say this is only a true accounting of my experience. I do this to help others here including George - If I had a customer who had a hard time with my business, I would want to know.
