Thanks Rich....
I'm looking for a few misc. parts to finish this up. Needed right now is a shift boot that attaches to the firewall and protects the front shift rod joint. Looking for a picture to show as an example. This is for a tailshift car. |

I believe this is Dad's 914-6 Monterey 1990 That is his car. He didn't sell me his, so when I am done we will attack his rebuild. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif) |

Whoops, i just read the title of the thread as it being a build up of a 914/6 (as in conversion)....maybe that's why the car looks so 'right'.

Changed the title..... Coming to the end so it really is a "Build-off". I will enter this in a car show June 24th.
Worst part is I am stuck in Florida until Saturday so I can't do work on her. I am relying on my Bro, 6Freak, to help me. He has finished installing my tank and misc items. I will have all week to get it running. But regardless, it will be presentable for Sunday even if not running. Is that cheating? Good times. |

Been a busy couple of days. The interior is the biggest and slowest process...
Here is the dash. A few final cleanups to finish or tweak, but it will work to get me through this weekend. Door panels tonite! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif) And replace that crappy shift knob by a noob. Install pillar post trim too. |

Silver (or Chrome) trim around the gauges huh? Don't believe I have seen that touch before? Great example of what hard work can produce! |

Longest week in history and very little sleep. Worked on the car each night this week until way past my bed time and worked at 5a each day. The result is the car is DONE.
We will attempt to start it tomorrow after we make a couple oil lines, check fuel lines, and double check our work. I hope she starts! |

It started! A big THANK YOU to Bernie and Scott Buschen who worked so hard today at getting this thing running. Their efforts sealed my victory to win this bet and have my car completed and entered in Sunday's Car Show. 6Freak and I worked all this week until late in the evening all this week. THANK YOU. Finally, thank you to all members here who jumped up willing to sell me parts, loan me items, or give support. I could not have done this with out the generosity of those who sold me parts. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/pray.gif) Dr. Evil's tranny rebuild clinic was finally tested(done 3 years ago) and I must say it shifts like a dream. Teener Tuesday? I'm now in! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lkgnd9JHeKo |
