You are a true inspiration to the 914 builders out there (no joke)

dflesburg,

Kickass..another one "done right".. and yes.. I have the easy grind spool in the mig welder as we type (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

I have just about enough factory 9146 restorations coming up to keep us busy for the next 8 months.

Ha ha.. its tough to work on 4cyl cars when you have 3 more conversions lined up and two factory sixes coming in for 3.2 engines...

I just havent finished the info LB. These full blown resto's are growing on me. Lots of fun. Time consuming.. but the end product RIPS.

OK, so the junk in my car can't top that. But I think you get the idea. Someone riveted in a panel behind the battery, all the way around and down into the hell hole. Below the engine shelf even. Some of it is fiberglass. Then they dumped a bunch a bondo on top. Whether someone else can be more creative or not, it qualifies as a mess in it's own right.

I'm not Gint, but I can answer this question. Last week I picked up the body and right rear quarter panel from the stripper, and delivered them both to the body man/painter.

Not to hijack this thread but... I then picked up my shell - the green one seen here:

http://www.914world.com/members/markd/mike...es6/mikes6.html

It looks great and I can't wait to start reassembly. It's only about a year behind schedule! Hope to be driving it before too much longer. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)
