I'm curious about the final finish for the wheel wells and underside. Did that come from the factory body color or was it painted body color and then undercoated? How are you going to do yours?

The undercoating process was a Dealer option.

That is great Mike. I remember dropping the front suspension out of it at Brads shop. Completely different looking! It looks juicy (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/chowtime.gif)

The tunnel is easy enough, inside the longs just got primer when they were open. Now they are mostly sealed up. No way you're gonna get paint in there. The factory didn't either.

Thanks Chris. Hard to believe huh? It was certainly a long time getting to this point.

I doubt it. I'll be lucky if I make it without the car. I *really* need my wife to find a job. We're two months away from losing half our income.

Mike, It's amazing. I remember just a short time ago, lifting your tub onto that flatbed trailer in pieces and all undone.

Nice to see it getting done the right way. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/clap.gif)

Congrats on a job well done and looking foward to the finish.

Mike,
Thanks for the pics - one of the best Christmas presents I'll get this year (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smile.gif)

Can't wait to see the rest of the project unfold.

regards
GAZ

PS: I fell in love with the Tangerine too - the real reason I bought mine!

Bee-U-ti-ful..... Wow Mike, it is looking great...

BTW, I assume this was the step of spraying the interior and underneath and the outside body will be painted separately, along with the doors and hoods? (I noticed the masked off areas...). Are you going to paint the top or leave it the factory black?

Congrats for doing the restoration the right way. Hope your wife finds another job soon.
