I know flared cars always win, but Bdog's car is unbelievable.

I gotta vote for AZ914. He has owned the car for close to 20 years and does every bit of work that he possibly can himself including tackling the 3.2 conversion. Plus he is a hella-nice guy.

The black bDog car and its modifications is the most impressive 914 Ive seen over the past 25 years. Got to see it close up at the 2011 Medford WCR, the details are terrific. Gets my vote for COTM

Thanks Mike! I have owned this car since 1990. It was my daily driver for a few years in the early nineties before becoming a weekender. I had it parked for a few years before starting to restore it back in 2003-04. At that point, I did the 5-lug, had the motor gone through, and had a buddy lay down the paint. In 2008 I backdated the bumpers and in 2011 did the 3.2 conversion. Lots of little projects in between but those are the highlights.
Here is a pic before the bumper backdate. Attached image(s) |

Would like to hear more information about each of the cars. Any history and what the car has. Stock, not stock, etc... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

While the chopped & channeled Bdog & 3.2 conversion are awesome (and a dead heat at the time I voted), and Jon's & dlee's are sweet originals ....
I had to vote for Jim's - he being an older fart like me & more so with his being Copper with a Tan interior - similar to the repaint I had on my 73 2L 8/76 - 5/80 (also a tan interior). So his 914 brings back good memories of when my 914 was my DD & one-n-only car, & I was a young & single cray guy! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |

Hey guys, thanks for the nomination. Car is a '74 1.8, spent its entire life in CA up until about 5 years ago when we bought it. It keeps me occupied with lots of little projects, but it has been super reliable and a great driver (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)
